El Paso 2018 Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage Plans offer different hospital and doctor coverage called in-network and out-of-network with different levels of coverage and premiums.

All Medicare Advantage plans must:

  • Enroll individuals who have registered for both Medicare Part A (Hospital) and Medicare Part B (Medical Services)
  • If you haven’t enrolled to both Part A and Part B, then we will help you enroll and/or let you know about the penalties for failing to do so. 
  • All Medicare Advantage Plans provide cost-sharing plan equivalent to cost sharing under Original Medicare Parts A and B , however they might be different for specific services.  
  • All Medicare Advantage Plans include an annual maximum out-of-pocket limit also known as MOOP on total enrollee cost sharing (deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments) for Part A and Part B services.

Medicare Advantage Plans might cover more benefits than Original Medicare, such as: 

  • Lower Cost Sharing
  • Vision Services
  • Hearing Services
  • Dental Services
  • Routine foot care Services
  • Chiropractic Services

Types of Medicare Advantage Plans (Must include Part A and Part B)

  •     Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) (some also include Part D)
  •     Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs) (some also include Part D)
  •     Private Fee-for-Service Plans (PFFS) (some also include Part D)
  •     Special Needs Plans (SNPs) (always include Part D)
  •     Medical Savings Account Plans (MSAs) (do not include Part D)
  •     Cost and PACE   Plans (not Part C MA plans-different plan types, may include Part D)
  •     Employer or Union Group Plans
